Deeds Not Words 2018 Deeds not words is the motto adopted by the suffragettes of the Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU) in the United Kingdom in 1903. Created for New Zealand's 125th anniversary of womens suffrage, this series of work embodies the words of that motto. It is a celebration of the strength, fragility and vunerability of women and all who stand up and speak out for gender equality.
